Forecast for the Future

"Every individual without exception bears a potential writer within himself. The reason is that everyone has trouble accepting the fact that he will disappear unheard of and unnoticed in an indifferent universe, and everyone wants to make himself into a universe of words before it's too late.

Once the writer in every individual comes to life (and that time is not that far off), we are in for an age of universal deafness and lack of understanding."

- Milan Kundera, The Book of Laughter and Forgetting

Week 7, Day 3: Sock Puppets

Tonight we made sock puppets and hot chocolate and it was pretty great. I spent $12.46 at the Liberty "department store" on Grand St. buying string and ugly socks and odds and sods. Suz brought over some random things including glitter and bubble wrap and of course 604-#1 had everything else knicky and knacky. Imanant came over and we went on the roof and watched the lunar eclipse and I attempted to rouse everyone into staging a scene from an Oscar Wilde play with our puppets but to no avail. Nonetheless it was an excellent evening.

I know a kitchen full of women/ puppet makers who were not wearing any makeup in those pictures and will probably kill you later.
