I came off the superhigh of Thursday's risotto victory feeling great about the world and looking forward to a climatic weekend of gastronomic excitement. Didn't quite turn out that way, but it was still a great time. I don't have time to dish all the details right now, but here are the photos for Friday's wonderful sushi debacle with old friends JRC and Mike M (yes, it was a total fuck-up debacle, but it was still a night worth remembering).
More later on this and Saturday, but for now photos:
more to come!!
love,
JB
Forecast for the Future
"Every individual without exception bears a potential writer within himself. The reason is that everyone has trouble accepting the fact that he will disappear unheard of and unnoticed in an indifferent universe, and everyone wants to make himself into a universe of words before it's too late.
Once the writer in every individual comes to life (and that time is not that far off), we are in for an age of universal deafness and lack of understanding."

Love your blog. And Ps - don't be discouraged by the burnt rice. Actually, had you not completely scorched the bottom, you made it perfectly for con con. It's a Dominican way to eat rice that is actually quite good.
